ADMISSION
Admission Procedure For Class 1:
Admission is through the Random method according to RTE Act 2009. The school adopts an open admission policy without any reservations whatsoever. The admission is based purely on adherence to the rules stipulated and the merit acquired by the student. Every year admissions for only class I for both girls and boys take place.
Online forms to be filled in the month of January and to be submitted by February of the year admission sought. Incomplete applications are rejected.
Selection :
As per the RTE Act 2009, 25% of the seats are given to children under the following categories prescribed by the act :
Orphans, handicapped etc - 5%
SC - 10%
ST - 4%
Economically weaker sections - 6%
In view of the needs and objectives of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT) that is the managing and funding body of the school, the following categorization is followed for the remaining 75% of the open seats for employees serving in the school and sister organizations.
Children of employees working in hospitals maintained by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust :
a) Doctors - 5%; b) Other Staff - 3%
Children of employees working in Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and other educational institutions maintained by SSSCT :
a) Academic & ministerial staff - 4%; b) Other staff - 2%
Employees of SSSCT and other associated Trust : 6%
In the above categories, allotment of seats will be interchangeable between sections (a) & (b), based on the number of applications received.
Conditions for admission
Class I
The candidates applying for class I should have completed 5 ½ years of age and should be less than 6 ½ years of age by 30th September of the year in which the admission is sought.
Relaxation of age is not practiced. The date recorded in the DOB certificate is considered final.
Request for change in date of birth at a later date is not entertained.
Selection of candidates takes place by random method.
Date and time of the lottery will be intimated to the parents.
A candidate could also be rejected based on non-compliance with health checkup standards by the school authorities before the admission into the school.
After Selection
The students who are selected will be intimated by a list put up in the school.
Selected students need to submit an enrollment form and other necessary papers (mention what docs) duly completed by the parents.
Students have to undergo a health checkup as prescribed by the school. Date will be intimated.
All newly admitted students shall be on probation for a period of one year, during which he/she can be asked to leave, if found unsuitable to the school. The decision of the school in this matter shall be final.
Students can be removed from the school roll by the school authorities on any of the following grounds-
consistent academic wanting
Indiscipline
Health grounds
Education has to be welcomed as a Spiritual Practice for the establishment of Peace in the individual heart as well as in society including the human commonwealth.
