Greater than all other forms of worship is Seva (service to one's fellow-men) done in an unselfish and dedicated spirit. There is an element of selfishness in forms of worship like Japa Dhyana etc. But when service is done spontaneously, it is its own reward. It must be done as an offering to God.

In line with the philosophy of Education propounded by the Founder of the School, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the school has initiated a wee bit of a service project in one or two localities around Puttaparthi. This sensitizes the students to the needs of others and in the process creates an awareness of the blessings they already have.
As a regular practice, the students chant the 108 names of the lord and each offer a few grains for each name. These grains are collected at the end of the year and cooked as sweet and spicy dishes. The cooked rice is then packed by the students and then distributed to the needy by the students themselves. This expression of love through service also extends to the domesticated animals of the village.
Every year the outgoing students offer their gratitude to the Divine Master for giving them the opportunity to study at His Divine Lotus Feet and moulding them into exemplary students through His divine Love and Care.
This is done in the form of narrations, songs, dance and drama. This marks a very emotional expression of the students’ feelings towards their Master.
The school Anniversary on July 20th every year unveils the emotional bonding of the students and its founder through various programs throughout the day.
The golden jubilee of the school was celebrated on the 20th July on a grand scale wherein the students presented a colourful array of cultural programmes with a blend of values and Indian culture expressing their gratitude and love to their beloved Lord Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
The ideal of service and the urge to practice it form the very heart of education.
